Take Care Of Your Heart

We all know that one of the most important organ in our body aside from our brain is of course our heart. It works 24 hours a day beating at around 60 to 100 beats per minute. The moment it stops even for just a few minutes, it may lead to death.

It is very important to take care of our heart so as to insure that we will not suffer diseases that could lead to an untimely death of a person. There are certain risk factors for heart disease. Some of them are uncontrollable and some are controllable. By knowing these risks, we can somehow prevent if not minimize the risk of having heart problems.

The following are considered risk factors for heart diseases:

- smoking
- lack of exercise
- intake of fatty foods (bad cholesterol)
- obesity or overweight
- hypertension or high blood pressure
- diabetis
- stress
- birth control pills
- excessive coffee intake

Remember that heart disease is the number one killer nowadays. It is important that we should take control and remember the risk factors above. It will surely help us if we consider them and control them as much as possible.

Though there are those that are uncontrollable, like age, heredity, remember that there are more factors that are definitely controllable. At least by taking out or by controlling those that we can, the risk of getting a heart disease or suffering from heart attack will be lessened.
