Intense Interval Training

You want a quick work out that you can actually feel working? I began this Intense Interval Training and I can actually see a difference and feel a difference. I do not enjoy going to the gym, or doing long home workout videos. I also don’t have a home gym, or room for one either. So, if any of you are in the same boat, this is for you as well.

Guide on how to play golf

If you know people, who conduct business in the golf course, then may be you want the experience as well. This guide on how to play golf will help you in understanding the intricacies of this game. I may need to mention that this game is unlike any other game; in here, what you need is strategy rather than power.

Why do I say this? This is because the common mistake of golf beginners is by giving all their might in trying to hit the ball. This is not the proper way to play golf and I am hoping that this article will help you learn how to get started and hopefully learn the tricks to make sure that you will not only enjoy this game but rather be successful in your business while playing.

Of course, you know that you will need a golf club. However, you will need many types of golf clubs. What are they?

Putter
Wood
Iron
Wedge
Driver

All these golf clubs differ in characteristics and while playing a single game, you may need all of them.

Three Golf Swing Tips

Golf is a popular sport which is why a lot of the tournaments are shown on television. You may not yet play with the likes of Tiger Woods but to be one of the best in the game, it will be helpful to know three golf swing tips.

First, you need a good shoulder turn to be able to hit the ball properly and let it land close to the hole. This is easier said than done because people have the misconception that making the left heel go up too much off the ground will make that work.

In essence, it does make the hip turn which is good but it does not produce any recoil. So what is the lesson here? Simply not to turn too much because recoil can be created not by how back the golfer turns when taking that shot.

UFC Ultimate 2008

With this saturday approaching it's evident that all eyes in the world of mixed martial arts (or mma, whatever your preference may be) will be on what will be considered the best fight card of the entire year. Top to bottom it's going to be something special to 2 (count em) 2 title matches and one of the best mma rivalries in quite some time.

At the main event you have Forrest Griffin, who in my opinion has had an impressive run in the UFC and was given the Lightheavyweight Championship a few months ago is going toe to toe with the man who just knocked Chuch Liddell completly the @#$% out in Rashaad Evans. Both men have fought Tito Ortiz and both are winners of the Ultimate Fighter competition which should make for a good fight, one of those knockdown dragouts and someone kissing canvas before the nights over. I'm predicting a new champion with Evans getting the knockout by the 3rd round.

Norm Duke Makes History

For people who follow the sport, it is now a known fact. Norm Duke became the first player to win three consecutive majors in professional bowling history. He beat Chris Barnes, a champ himself, 250 - 189 at the Geico sponsored PBA World Championship Series held at Wichita, Kansas. Duke made 7 consecutive strikes while Barnes just kept missing his marks. Norm Duke was very consistent with his strategy. He got spares on the 8th and 10th frame but Barnes just was not his usual self that day. Despite boos from the crowd, Norm kept his composure, stayed focused and was never affected. This guy is some trooper.
I have been following this man's performance for some time now. I knew before he would make good. He may look like any other bowler. No fancy moves, lucid but his timing is great. There is some sense of mental accuracy from his approach up to the time he releases the ball.

Football for Kids - Pass the Pig Skin

It’s fall, and the weather is beautiful outside . . . at least where we live. So, it is a great time to spend some time outdoors with your kids. This weekend, my husband took our 6 year old son outside to throw the football. Excited, which you may have figured out is just part of my son’s personality, was an understatement. Our little boy was ecstatic about the idea of having his dad to himself outside, for some one-on-one time.

If you don’t have a football, but would like one, visit Activity Alley for some available options.

My husband, who has coached children’s football in years past, first drew the football field in the dirt and explained the basics of the game to our son. Then, they went out to a clear spot in the yard to throw the ball. He showed our son techniques for holding the ball, throwing it, and catching it. Here are some of the tricks and tips he shared:

Bowling: Avoiding Hand and Wrist Injuries

There is a growing captivation with speed in bowling. It can look amazing but sad to say, it does not work for everyone. The need for speed is becoming the usual cause of hand and wrist injuries among bowlers.
The prevalent source of injury is ill-fitting equipment. The weight of the ball must be within a one to one ratio with the player's age and strength. This is a critical factor for young and older people. A ball that is too heavy can surely result to an injury. On the other hand, using a lighter ball and throwing it a bit faster can actually produce higher speed and less strain on one's wrist.

Amateur Bowling Tips

Bowling is an old sport usually associated with the idea of a past time. For people who are presently enjoying the sport, there is a sense of enthusiasm. A step forward means taking the sport in a competitive level. Joining a local league is the best venue and as an amateur, the desire to improve and get better becomes a responsibility. Take a few moments to let me share some points that may help improve your game.

Selecting the ball - always choose one that is most comfortable. A ball that is too heavy may strain your wrists. A ball that is too light may result to uncontrolled balls, just will not hit your marks.

Grip on the ball - make sure your fingers fit the holes, not too loose and not too tight. The middle and ring fingers should slip into the holes just up to the second joint. This is the conventional grip, best for amateurs.
