At 84 years old I recently started training with tubes. I find this to be best for senior citizens. I have been training for 7 weeks and have noticed some progress. I exercise 6 days a week. I also walk 30 minutes a day, six days a week, and do push-ups, and abs exercises. I starting jogging at age 49 and jogged for 32 years. I had to stop running because of knee trouble. Walking is just as beneficial and easier on your knees. I try to walk on a surface which is not a pavement. Walking on pavement is hard on your knees. I am keeping my weight at about 165 lbs. A few years ago I was up to 210 lbs. I lost weight when I was in the hospital as a result of a mugging I received together with being upset over my wife's diagnosis with lung cancer. She died in February. Exercising has helped me in handling the grief and loneliness. It is rewarding to be physically fit at my age.
