The art of perfection

Diamond cutting is a science that changes a diamond into a precious gem from a rough stone. Cutting a diamond requires a lot of specialized knowledge, equipments and techniques because of the extreme hardness of the diamond. Diamond cutting has two different meanings in relation to the shape, specific quality of the cut within the shape, and the quality and price that varies greatly based on the cut quality.

Luminescence in a Diamond

There are many factors that influence the color appearance of colorless to faint yellow diamonds. The overall look of a polished diamond’s color may be due to the results of a combining factors like shape, size, cutting proportions, body color, and the position and the light in which it is viewed. On being exposed to Ultra Violet radiations, certain diamonds may emit fluorescence due to the presence of submicroscopic structures in diamonds. There may be various colors of fluorescence in diamond, but blue is the most common. The response of a diamond under a UV lamp is an identifying characteristic on quality grading reports. Other light sources such as fluorescent tubes or even sunlight also contain a varying amount of UV radiation.

Don't put things off

We put off way to many things that brings them joy just because they haven't thought about it,don't have it on their schedule, didn't know it was coming or are too rigid to depart from their routine.

I got to thinking one day about all those people on the Titanic who passed up dessert at dinner that fateful night in the effort to cut back. From then on, I've tried to be a little more flexible.

How many women out there will eat at home because their husband didn't suggest going out to dinner until after something had been thawed? Does the word "refrigerator" mean nothing to you? How often have your kids dropped in to talk and sat in silence while you watched "jeopardy" on television?

I cannot count the times I called my mother and said,"How about going to lunch in a half hour?" She would gas up and stammer, "I can't. I have late breakfast, it looks like rain" And my personal favorite. "My favorite soap is on and I don't want to miss it."She died a few years ago. We never did have lunch together.

Because Americans cram so much into their lives, we tend to schedule our headaches. We live on a sparse diet of promises we make to oursleves when all the conditions are perfect!
